A receipt or a reset that lands in spam is worse than one that renders imperfectly, and the two problems have opposite fixes. Promotional markup, click-tracking redirects and image-heavy headers all push transactional mail toward the spam folder, so these templates are deliberately plainer than the rest of the gallery. Resist decorating them.
